How do I log into the O'Reilly Safari database?

Answer

O'Reilly Safari provides free access to 35K+ books, 30K+ hours of video, curated learning paths, case studies, interactive tutorials, audio books, and O'Reilly conference videos. It contains electronic books about technology, digital media and business. Logging into O'Reilly Safari for the first time can be a bit tricky, so just follow the directions listed below for easy access.

  1. Be sure you are logged in to your MyCI account.
  2. Navigate to the library home page and select the "Databases A-Z" tab under the "Research Tools" column on the left side of the page
  3. Click on the link to "Safari O'Reilly"
  4. From the Drop-down menu SELECT "Not Listed? Click Here."
  5. Enter your campus email
  6. Enter the title of the book in the search bar

*Faculty: please do not link students directly to the textbook, have them follow the directions above the FIRST TIME. Be sure that your students do not create a trial account. If they do, they will not be able to access the material via their MyCI account later. If this happens, please contact a librarian for login assistance.
